The nicks, cuts, head bonks and scrapes tally is way above normal for me on this job!! .

The big surprise is my back and shoulder-blades from laying on a concrete floor for hours and hours on end. I didn't see that one coming....

Wow, excellent write up, excellent detail on the fitment concern. I didn't have cats to send to S&S and therefore the cat protrusion was not known. I will contact S&S immediately and get this addressed. Apologies to everyone that has this problem. Giant thanks to Allan for this contribution.

From what I have been able to tell, BA GS400 is the first to to do install w/o removing engine mount bolts?? I'm not quite sure if it makes it easier but it seems to save some time. do you agree.

 

Actually, I think the GS430 (and LS430, SC430) will be relatively easy and probably will not require engine mount removal. As far sas BA's work let him comment as I personally have NOT done this job. I have an LS400 and must fabricate a different Y pipe to use my headers and between this and other distractions haven't done the job. Therefore, the ones that have done this are the current install "experts".
