Default need some swap help

alright, i am swapping a JDM 2JZ-GTE into my 2000 GS300. engine is out of an 1995 aristo. i went to put the motor in and the engine mounts dont line up at all. i thought when i was researching the swap i had read that you needed the lexus motor mounts and the aristo engine mounts, apparently i was wrong. i was looking at the stock block and it has an extra set of engine mount holes cast into the block. if the new motor had the same thing, this wouldnt be an issure what so ever, but it doesnt. does anyone have any help on this subject??? my project is only a month behind schedule and i would like to get this part finished up as soon as possible.

i am only glad i didnt have to swap my supra to this extent

yeah, i got the motor and tranny. i sent the tranny to be built, and am just putting the motor/tranny back in now. i dont think it would be a problem if i was swapping a 2jz-gte vvti motor in the car from a 2000 aristo. the older motor (non-vvti) is what is giving me problems. i for one dont understand why toyota would have 2 different 2jz blocks. seems to me it would be alot easier to just cast a different engine mount bracket, rather than cast new mounts onto the block itself... thanks for the help though.

i ended up deciding to just build an adapter plate to use to mount the engine mount. should work out just fine. just strange to see a 2jz with a different casting from what i'm used to seeing.

We had similar motor mount issues in my project, mine is a non vvt-i engine and trans. They just fabricated new mounts, as with all motor swap projects like nyaristo said their are always bugs. Good luck man...
