Default srt intake & ecu on a 135k car??

my new 98 gs400 has been thouroughly maintained at the dealership since new. i bought it from the 1st owner and everything was completed on time.
i am considering the srt intake/ecu combo on the car...i had it on my previous 98gs4 and loved it. what do you guys think about the extra wear and tear this higher performance mod may cause a vehicle w/ this many miles? think it's a factor? i know it adds performance by increasing air intake (and fuel i believe via the ecu chip) but would this somehow hurt the engine's longevity? i'd like to drive this car for several years.
thanks,

thanks,
an intake should never really hurt the engine's longevity unless you don't have a filter on it i wouldn't worry about it

don't even worry about it man! It just help the engine breath better and tranny shift faster, will be no damage for the car at all. Just don't go too carzy when you feel the extra power!

id worry about one thing...once its installed you're going to want to hear the car at WOT more often which in turn will cause you to use up more gas and the way thats going you may end up not being able to afford the car anymore...........

Just as long as you're not flooring i frequentlyt, the GS should be fine with the SRT.

Default update

this is just an update...my car now has 160k and is running just as well as when i got it...the srt intake/chip has been a pleasure and doesn't seem to be effecting longevity in any way.
