Looks really nice.. Looks just like the Tom's cat-back.. I'm hoping Steve at Carson is putting together this system for the 3rd gen..

Yeah, the quality is fantastic on this exhaust-at MUCH less cost than the Tom's.
For anyone looking for a really nice sounding exhaust that is on the quiet side under "normal" driving, look no further...

Yea i 'd have to agree with you on that. The Borla is right up there to with a quiet yet nice little sound.. Glad to see that you are happy with the Carson tuned... That was aslo a consideration before the Borla....

I have it too. It's a little on the quiet side for me right now. But with the headers and custom y-pipe the sound levels will be perfect. Thats why I bought it.

Can't go wrong with Borla-they have always made great quality products. I actually had the pleasure of meeting Alex Borla at their factory in Oxnard Ca. years ago. Had their system on my Ford Explorer for years and it looked great after 90k miles of on and off roading...
Yeah, with the headers I think the sound will be just about right!

I went from RMM exhaust to the Carson Tuned but I don't have the stock intake. But honestly, I really doubt that exhaust alone would make a noticeable difference (of course it will sound faster! ).
I got the Carson exhaust for the less restrictive resonators (according to Steve Ganz) and also just liked the look and sound. I wanted the exhaust also in preparation for the headers which combined with the K&N FIPK will give me a real good flowing system. Planning on tuning with Apex SAFC in the future possibly to optimize the A/F ratio etc.

congrats to another satisfied carson tuned exhaust owner

imo as far as the carson tuned on the gs3..

pros:
- sound is much more deep/aggressive
- one of the more quiet systems...this is what i was looking for...there is no sense imo to put a loud bee can exhaust when lexus is designed for quietness
- quality is definite top notch
- fits very well with oem bumper

cons:
- performance gain is very minimal...i think i can feel the difference...but since i can actually hear my exhaust now...i think my mind is playin tricks on me lol
- you may need to consider extending the tips if your going with a aftermarket bumper...

do i regret my purchase? hell no! in fact this was my first mod to my gs

Woo hoo Carson Tuned exhaust. One of the most cleanest manufactured/clean welded exhausts for the GS or IS!
