Question

Today when i was on my way home from work. I was drive inner road with the speed around 35-40 MPH, suddently i saw my engine light came on and the other two lights came on afterward. It's the VSC OFF and the other one i can't remembered but three yellow lights. I pulled over and checked. Everything are fine but the lights are on, so i decided to open the hood and check it out. Nothing is wrong, yet once pop and hood release they light went off. Hum~ that's weird. I turn off the engine and restarted again and the lights are gone.

What could it be??? I don't know. Any suggestions??? I have to take to the dealer this weekend to let them check it out the the codes reader.

As of right now, the car is running fine as normal. Really weird??? Anyone on this board have encountered with the same problem???

Sorry to hear about that, but it sounds like what happened to me. I had 3 lights come on after going over a small bump. The lights were VSC-OFF, VSC and and ABS-OFF I think. Anyway, it was a defective speed sensor in the front right wheel which my dealer replaced under warranty.

Hope that helps.

Red face Ahhh...

Ahh thanks for the info. If that's the case, then i don't have to worry. I will let the dealer check it out and replace it for me. Gosh now i can sleep peacefully knowing the baby will be ok.

Thanks,

The weirdest things can happen to cars these days, with all of the computers indide. Did you know that the technology in our lexus is greater than the technology we used to land on the moon? pretty crazy huh

yea my engine light just came on and guess why.... the gas cap wasn't on tight enough, they said we needed a vacum for the gas i guess....

Lightbulb Tank Vacumn

Sasha - Yep, the GS tank is designed to have a vacumn on it because the fuel pump relies on that for it's suction side to pull the fuel into the filter system & itself. If ya ever notice fumes around the gas lid area of the GS, it's probably because of an inadequately tightened fuel cap. I've noticed it while Zaino'ing my car, especially after the wife has fueled up the car - may need to get her some steriods!!

Angry all lights on...dead

Yesterday I was driving through a parking lot at obviously very low speeds(5mph). I went over a very smooth speed bump perhaps at around the same 5mph and 10 seconds later the gs400 dies. What I mean by smooth speed bump is the angle was low and when you go over it you don't feel any thump. Probably has nothing to do with the engine dying.

At first I didn't know what happened. I was trying to accelerate a little since the car was slowing and nothing happens. Then I look at the console and all the lights were on. The GS400 engine is quiet so I couldn't tell that the engine died. 5 minutes before this happened I just filled it up with gas too.

Really strange...Anyone with this experience? If it happens again I'm bringing it in.
