i dont think that would be a good. you might be able to get away with doing the top but i think it would hinder the cooling aspect of the car. it might look good. but with a boosted car you need to get rid of the heat.

I think they have powder coating now, that looks almost as shiny as chrome. Search google, I'm almost sure they can make it look chrome.
