Angry shift solenoids

I just had my check engine light checked out and the code was 89500 engine control wich means that the shift solenoid #3 needs to be replaced for $742.00 including labor, Has this happened to anybody is it the right price or did i just get ripped off?

i had the same problem but fixed it my self, that sounds about right from lexus.the solenoid is easy to put in you just need to drop the trany pan, locate the defective solenoid and replace,my solenoid had a broken solder connection on the coil windings.if you need the wiring diagram let me know.
