Hey you guys are getting it all wrong, it wasn't my intension for it to do an "interfooler" trick. I just like the look and i think it will look cool under the opening of the explosion kit or the cyber II kit. Still deciding.

 

umm........ dunno, doesn't that look kinda silly? why trying to fake something you don't have?

 

I guess I'll just slap some mesh over the opening and call it quit. Happy?> lol

 

If it's functional, i.e. you have a turbo and need an intercooler, we are saying cool.
If you like the look and want to add something that looks like one or is an intercooler, we are saying no. It adds no purpose to the car.

The reason cars with turbos have intercoolers is to feed the car more air to keep it cool. That is why you see cars with the grill openings in the middle, to allow cold air to pass into it. Otherwise, without the opening, it is somewhat restricted.

If you have something that looks like an intercooler or is an intercooler, people will ask for you to pop your hood so they can see a turbo or supercharger.

You don't want it missing.
Just trying to help explain what the function of it is.

don't be offended though, i wasn't try to be negative (apology if i was). the way i see is that if you want something, show what you have, and don't imitate, otherwise you will get people laugh at your one way or the other. sometimes staying subtle is a good thing

 

nah not even close to offended. I've been away from the "soup" up car scene for a little bit too long. The bug just got me again for some reason. Been driving a Tahoe for the last 2 years, hauling a boat around days are over for me. (for now) I guess I sorta got "played out" haha it's cool

 

We are here to help. Some of us learned the hard way. I bought knock-offs once thinking they were the real thing.

We own a Lexus, just take your time, save the dough and do it right. In the long run, you will grin harder.

I already have a buyer for all of my OEM parts so it's gonna help me fund for some of the project. Paint and installation of the kit is gonna cost me next to nothing since it's my homeboy's shop.

In no way whatsoever trying to turn this into a pissing contest, but why do u say mine's too small? It's approx. the same length on each side and mine's actually taller than yours (more fins) I believe. Maybe coz you have that stock metal crash bar reinstalled while I had mine removed (well I cut it up to s**t).
