Default track times !!!!!!!!!

Hey,

went to the track last weekend. but I was a little disappointed in my results. The best time I could manage was 14.7 in the 1/4 mile and from what other members say and do. Make better time. The track here is near the ocean so it is a little slippery. And on take off I did get wheel spin. I also know that gas here really suck.. It is dirty and low on octain, even though I did used aditives ( turbueno). do you guys think that this, with the track condition hurt my times that much.. I going to go again in a coulple of weeks , but this time with racing fuel and work on my take offs.. do any of you guys have wheel spin at the track and make better time. could my lack of exhaust be hurting my srt ecu set up?

any thought ?

Are you using brake torque technique on your launches? Make sure to remove your spare tire. Have less than 1/4 tank of gas. For sure turn off the VSC and AC. Reduce the rear tire air pressure to add better traction.

With the 3.76 LSD and SRT intake I would have expected 5-6 tenths better. As you touched upon, track conditions and driver technique have a lot to do with the times.

thanks man

yes I'm using the brake torque and all que goods you mention. that's where I get my wheel spin. I guess I'm just lanching to hard for the track condition... I'll work at it and see what happens

thanks again

That seems pretty slow considering the 3.76 LSD and the slight HP increase with the intake...
Are you running on stock tires? Sounds like more traction would definitely help-but at least you do have the LSD to help you.
Try different launching techniques too-maybe w/o torque braking to reduce wheel spin?
I would think you should be in the very low 14s near 100 mph especially at a sea level track with cool, dense air. You might try re-setting your ECU again with some good gas and see if that helps. Let us know how you do...

Do you have the time slip?

What was your 60ft time?

MPH at the end?

Post all of the data you can as well as temperature, humidity and barometric pressure.

In proper conditions your car should go 13s easy.
