MORE HP for GS430

I wonder which code is being triggered by the TC?

Smoothness is definitely part of the timing issue as is the slowness of the shifting. Of course there is also a torque spike as a tranny upshifts against an engine at high rpm. This could also be a durability program.
Anyway, these engines (the VVTi) has been out over 6 years. Hopefully someone will come up with an ECU tuning device/piggyback that would allow a programming change. Heck, these engines make peak power (through crappy exhaust) at 6000rpm but the ECU starts pulling timing and the system shifts shortly thereafter. I would love to extend redline to 6800 (from 6350) and move WOT shiftpoints to 6500rpm. Remove the timing pull and speed up the shifts (all at WOT, leave part throttle alone). These minor changes would make for a dramatic improvement in performance. Add good exhaust and a good intake... and watch out
