I have 2001 GS300. After reading all the associated threads, I recently replaced my plugs from Oriely's recomended plugs, which now I think caused problems. My issue started after my check engine light came on. I took it to Oriely to review codes. It showed cylender two as misfire and bad coil. I replaced all three coils, wires and spark plugs. The car ran perfect for few days. Just when I was getting comfortable and confident, check engine light came on along with VSC light. During one cold start, car took longer to start, it almost backfired and then started. Did not think much, continued driving, no issues. A week later, went to store and car would not start. After trying and cranking for an hour, i got the car started, which was very difficult, when it started white smoke started comng from both exhaust. I can smell burnt antifreez, no sign of water in engine oil. Radioator looks clean and free of oil. Car is back home on driveway. During my 2 mile trip from store it blew white smoke constantly. Anyone has come accross this problem? I am thinking Head gasket is blown, but maybe someone can tell me I am wrong. It will be lots of manhours and hard work to replace head gasket. This engine has approx 136K Miles. I replaced the orignal engine, which had 276K. Used engine was purchased, Has been running good for last three months.

thanks for the links, I have 05 GS300. Denso link says not fit, and NGK link has no check. If you looked at mfg catalog you got diff answers, 05 GS300 original is BKR6EP-11 and I changed to Denso SK16R-P11, used 60K and 80K and now the later one has slow acc.
You seems overlooked sparkplugs, in fact there are many fits, and new products after the car mfg have better parts also. I doubt when people feel better mainly because new plugs not the part# change. I also see in this thread Lexus tech confirmed the double grounds are old - to me means obsolete - your preferred parts# has only 50K miles life
Although gas are stupid biden price now - yesterday my Odysey charged $95.1, I'm not good to calculate mpg. Today I drove long way to two Lexus yet parts closed- stupid new store w/ wrong info on Google, relocated store no customer, waste $20.

Default Denso Iridium TTs for 99 GS300

My 1999 GS300 now at 327k, replaced denso iridium dual ground from 2017 w 80k w denso iridium TT & new wires last month myself after starting to notice minor loss of power on hills. Have noticed how smooth the improvement has been, all power restored & about a 2mpg improvement. Highly recommend. Rockauto.
