If I had to do it all over again I wouldnt do it! the ride was very good on smooth roads, but the dampening could have been better.

See if you can get Espelir or Tein springs, or if $$$ permits, coilovers

I want coilovers but I just can't justify spending that much. I want a 1.7 inch drop at least, ebach is like 1.2 or something like that. Are the shocks bad too or just the springs?

The KYBs are fine, the problem is when you combine them with a 1.9" drop (what the Intrax settles to just about), they cant keep up with the springs. Like I said man, the car DID NOT have a bad ride, my mother used to ride in it and not complain. The problem was over rough stuff, the impacts were sharp, and the dampening could have been better.

Also, you never know what deal on coils you might be able to get! Good luck bro, and let me know if you need more info on the intrax/KYB thing

First off thanks for all your help with this!

Secondly, if coilovers were in the $700-800 range i'd get those in a heartbeat.

Stupid question but if I get coilovers I still have to get shocks and springs right?

No stupid questions when your learning.

Coilovers are a shock and spring that are matched and height adjustable/dampening adjustable. So NO you would not need to buy anything else!

Well then I guess i'm going to have to choose; I can get the shocks/springs and Xerd headers OR coilovers. Damn, I'll just drop the headers and pick up coilovers instead. Any good places to get them? (besides intensemotorsports)

Trust me man, coils are a BETTER choice. For power man, just turbo your GS! To be honest thats why I NEVER did any intake or anything on my 1st Gen, I always said, with this big heavy car, with big heavy wheels, and stereo crap, what the hell is 6hp gonna do!!!!

Carson/TMEngineering/GS4Will man, PM johnee78, I think he has been doing some coilover research, and maybe he can help you out!

I was going to turbocharge it but the engine already has 117,000 miles on it, it's easier to just do a 2jz swap... or have I said to much

As for the coilovers I can't seem to find them for the 1st gen GS's, do they not make any for them?
