Default H-pipe or X-pipe?????? :( Power vs. Sound....

Hey guys I'm taking my car in on Saturday to have either an H-pipe (Custom built) OR an X-pipe (Magnaflow Tru-X) installed right after the 2 cats.

I'm getting so much conflicting stories from people and friends I talk to. Even searching the internet I've found WAY too much conflicting stories between the difference of X vs. H..

Here is my current setup:
APEXi WS (No resonators) <2" 1/2 pipe from the center resonator to the mufflers>
Thermal Research double wall 12"x4" angle cut tips.

I want something that will not take away from any bottom end, yet I also want it to sound AWESOME.. (Low bass rumble)

Here is my dilemma. Everyone I talk to say that I will get more power with the X-pipe but it wont sound nearly as good as an H-pipe..

But other people have told me it's the other way around. (X-pipe will sound better but the H-pipe will give me more power) I'm so confused now!!!

Has ANYONE installed either an H or X on their GS400/430??
Any thoughts or feedback on power/sound??

Thanks guys.. err and girls

Can you show us a pic of what you are talking about?

The JDM Aristo S300 folks prefers a Y-shaped pipe for the front pre-mid cat section. That would remove the 1st cat. But I notice that they always keep the mid cat (whether it's S300 or V300), must have something to do with gov't regulations there.

Not that a mustang has much to do with a Lex. But I have had both X and H pipes on my cars and I really perferred the sound of the X over the H. I don't think there is a big difference in performance between the 2 though.
