IS250 differential axle flanges to Y38 Diff
This is my first post on CL so hello everyone!
I've found a good deal on Y38 diff from a BRZ but it has no axle flanges. Will the OEM flanges from 2007 IS250 MT diff fit to Y38 diff?
Also while we're at it... I hope I won't be banned from the forum on the first post... I have not sold my IS200 (1st gen) yet and it is slowly turning into a "lil drift missile". It has an OEM torsen so I thought I could sell the IS200 torsen ,weld the OEM IS250 diff and put it on the IS200. I know that the IS300 (1st gen) has the same size diff as the IS250 (2nd gen) so the pumpkins fit but the axles are 5-bolt on the 200 and 6-bolt on the 300 and 250. So I could either put the IS200 axle flanges on the IS250 welded diff to match the 5-bolt axles or if they don't fit just buy some other flanges that fit the welded IS250 diff AND the 5-bolt IS200 axles.
So once again: Y38 into IS250, the remaining IS250 diff into IS200 and OEM IS200 torsen for sale - which flanges fit which diff?
Yeah, a little headache I know, sorry.
Thanks in advance!

IS250 and BRZ doesn't have axle flanges, the CV is 1-piece.
IS250/300/BRZ has a larger diff and housing. It won't bolt in to the IS200 subframe. The prop shaft and axles are also different lengths and have different splines. If you wanted to do the swap without fabricating custom parts, you'd need an IS300 subframe, rear axles, and the rear half of the prop shaft.

@Jeff Lange Diving under my IS200 for the last 8 years made me think the IS250 CV's are also bolted to the diff. Thanks for clarification, that's very helpful. I will buy this "Y38 without axle flanges" then
Cheers!

Cheers!
