Default I want pop!!

To take acceleration of a 430 to the next level, it seems there are two choices.
A torque converter, which has only a two year warranty. Or an SRT air intake with ecu, but I read about warning lights going on.

Does the SRT really improve acceleration and what about engine noise?? I still want to feel that I am driving a Lexus. Does the shifting sequence and the overall transmission get degraded with a torque converter. Again, I don't want to ruin a great transmission to improve low end torque. How much can I expect to pay to have either installed??

Incidentally, my wife's GX 470 actually has better torque at under 30 mph!! I need some advise.

An SRT intake will not improve low end torque, it may in fact lessen it.

The upgraded TC on the other hand will not only majorly improve low end torque, it will actually make your shifts SMOOTHER than stock. An upgraded TC + install will probably run $1300. Not a cheap upgrade, but the grin on your face will be priceless.

Definitely agree on the TC if you want low end grunt and add the intake/ecu if you want more high end.

TC IMO only improves the transmission with a 2800 stall.

thanks for the words of wisdom. I need a little bit of an education. What does "tc imo only improves the transmission with a 2800 stall" mean in easy to understand terms.
