Default Car is having some problems :(

I think my mechanic is not good or doesn’t want to tell me the full problem or what’s happening to my car but main problem is cat is clogged and maf sensor is bad/malfunctioning. A main problem is the car is running super rough on idle and when i rev it, it gets to 3k rpm and then it get hard after 3k was wondering if that’s just be the maf sensor or something else. Since i don’t want to spend $2500 to get it fixed I want to go catless and was wondering how much it would cost for that kind of work. If it’s a lot plan B is racing headers with a tune

Local shop can get both the cats off for about $250 but depends where you are. Possibly Carbon buildup but not too sure to be honest.
