Anyone have any experience getting there transmission tuned? If I'm not mistaken tunedbyloi does tcu tunes, and there's clips like this: ( )

I know for a fact the 8 speeds have lots of potential, the whole is350 platform does.

 

I just bought a '23 350 RWD. I've moved from a '13 MK6 Golf-R (stage2+ tune), which I still have. I'll be looking for a tranny tune, but in no hurry. The software on my R has been rock solid for years now, so of course I'd want that for the IS.

I bought a '23 IS-350 F-SPORT RWD. I'd read about the relaxed shifting nature of this unit, and accepted it as part if a greater package.
But tell me, what fact do you have about the potential of this transmission? I'm interested to know, because a more sporty tune, within safe margins, can be the icing on the cake for an otherwise great car.

these 8 speed transmissions can handle a hefty amount of power to the wheels, 9mesh a twin-turbo build making 900+ to the crank and around 750whp is still running the stock transmission, he also has tuned his transmissions and we see much sharper and quicker shifts.

 

I'd love to swap in the 4.08 diff from the 2IS, it would bring the 3IS350's 0-60 down quite a bit, but the transmission shift points become out of whack. If someone could tune the TCU to correct that...

 

Beginning of January I completed my 2is differential swap into my 2021 is350, I definitely need the car to be tuned because I'm not getting the performance I expected from the differential. Here is my thread on the performance breakdown, still have to do more testing with dragy.
