What are the best mods to get for low end power?

Like you've researched before, the 4.08 ring/pinion gear swap from the 2IS. Except the transmission shift points are wonky apparently. If someone has the ability to program that, it would be a no-brainer of a mod. We would regain the 2IS350's acceleration, making our cars a good bit more competitive with the likes of the 340i.

I was thinking of using the gs350's gearing instead, still way more aggressive than what we have right now but I wouldn't lose or sacrifice any top end. Idk anyone who has done this before though.
