Default Anybody have damage from overheating a 1uz?

So long story short I overheated my engine. The needle got all the way up and I drove it in the red about a minute or so before pulling over and turning off the engine. Is it possible I warped a head or screwed up a headgasket?

Sorry to hear that, remember the golden rule, when your over heating but cant safely stop, turn your heater on full blast and turn off all accesories, AC etc. The heater takes heat from the engine and that can buy you a couple precious seconds while you look for a spot to safely pull over.

It depends what caused it also but if the headgasket wasn't the cause and you turned it off in a minute like you said, let it cool down and it could be just fine.
You need a big overheat to cook the headgasket if it wasn't on its way out already, have had that happen on a few cars that were just fine afterward.
