Getting ready to pull my old motor and switch my oil pan to my new motor. I see I can order a gasket for the lower pan but cant seem to find one for the upper pan. Is there a gasket or is it sealed using a gasket maker?

 

I believe it's only a Toyota gasket maker. You can also use the "Right Stuff" oil safe sealant and that typically works wonders when you go to re-install.

 

No gasket. Toyota uses FIPG. Available from any Toyota or Lexus dealership at all times

 

Definitely use Toyota FIPG. It’s quality stuff.
