I'm going to be hooking up my laptop to it to use it as datalogger... should be able to export to a spreadsheet to get some clean readings.... that should take a week or so..... I'll get the baseline number and post it up.

Huh.... That box looks familiar. You'll be amazed at what you can get out of road tuning with the Wideband. The SAFC should be just fine for dialing everything in. I just got done with a tuning session on an SAFC II. Pretty slick little fuel controller. I had the basic a/f ratio dialed in within about 20 minutes on an empty highway. The knock sensor stuff on the new one is a little confusing, though. Pay careful attention to the wideband at the point where the ECU goes open loop. It will be obvious on the wideband. Generally you don't want any drastic SAFC settings in the area where the ECU is closed loop, because the ECU fuel trims are based on stoich and will just compensate for what the SAFC is doing and could make the car run worse. If you've got exhaust, intake, an other stuff on the car that increase the airflow, then perhaps you could do a little positive fuel settings at low throttle (closed loop). This would bring the ECU fuel trim closer to baseline which won't change the afr on the Techedge, but will make the car run better because the closer to baseline, the better the timing map will be. On mine, if you venture much off the baseline, the ECU can still maintain stoich, but you can tell that its compensating to try to get it there and the result is the car doesn't run smoothly.

On my car with the big cams, i actually flow less air than stock at low rpms and low thottle and ended up taking out 10% or so at low rpms...
