Charging Issues on my `95 300
Hey all, having charging issues on my 1995 SC300 (late)
Original Alternator finally went bad at 228,xxx miles. Proud of the thing for living for so long, however with my Ultima refurbished Alternator I'm not too happy with..
Car will start and be fine with 14.6V after a quick jump from a jumper box, with no Acc., lights, etc on it will slowly dwindle to about 13.5V. After turning Climate, Radio and Headlights on it will slowly go down .01V every 10 seconds or so until it gets down to 12.0~12.2V. Raising the RPMs only raise it to about 12.4~12.6V.
Bench tested Alternator twice, passed with flying colors. I tried looking at the 3-pin plug which I assume is the Voltage Regulator with my DMM with the key on and am getting no reading, haven't tested the + on the alternator while car is running.
Any advice? thanks to any and all ideas

You've got bad grounds
Unfortunately they are throughout the vehicle
Don't feel bad, I have the same issue
I've solved ground issues under the hood of mine with lots of time and a (basically) complete rewire of the engine harness
My harness had been heat scorched and needed it badly
The fcty harness is literally on the engine in all the wrong places, sometimes just millimeters from the exhaust manifolds
(if I ever meet that engineer....)
Bad grounds cause voltage drops and it sucks the reserve power down over time
