Default What replacement vacuum lines do you use???

Just as the title states, what vacuum lines do you use? I picked up 5/32nds inch from the autoparts store and it seems a scoach too big...they didn't have anything smaller that wasnt too small. You use silicone or rubber? Buy online?

Thanks guys

I'd buy online. I had this issue a year ago and hunted everywhere for a good general replacement vacuum hose in the standard sizing. I came across Gates #27042 5/32nds Inner-Diameter hose. It's very close to stock for the standard and common vacuum line sizing. Most auto parts stores, if the carry 5/32nds ID hose, will be selling you windshield washer nozzle line which isn't as suited to the heat when physically on an engine.

I had luck getting another alternative in 5/32nds from a Toyota dealer but they couldn't recall what brand they bought. It wouldn't surprise me if it were the Gates brand as well.

I've found it useful to have a variety of pinch clamp sizes on hand. The vacuum barbs aren't as uniform in O.D. as you'd expect, but it only takes a tiny bit of compression on those little hoses to get them to hold snug.
