setting valve clearance - reuse shims?

I've got an engine tick and will be checking/resetting valve clearances later this week. I'm thinking about going re-using shims for this. Is re-using the shims a bad idea?

Good morning Sir. I am an SC 430 Owner and this thread popped up under a "related " topic to one I posted about the PCV Valve replacement. Im very curiou if you follwed through on the adjustment and any tips you might have. Thanks.
