Default Clicking/ Snap Noise under Shifter

95 Sc300 ATM
While the is Engine On and the shifter is in PARK, every time I press on the brakes, there is a clicking/Snap sound (not super loud )coming inside the shifter plate in the middle console.
Does anybody experience this before. Any help or advise would be appreciated.

Sounds to me like you're hearing the shifter lock solenoid. It prevents you from moving the shifter into gear without your foot on the brake pedal

Thanks for your help. It puts me at ease knowing what it is. I never notice the sound before, is it common to hear it or does it mean it time to replace or be checkout.

No problem man. It is common to hear it, so don't worry about it. Most auto's have this feature and you can hear it. My infiniti does it as well, so does my girlfriend's chevy. Even if for some reason it does go out on you, there is an over-ride button on the bezel that will allow you to over-ride that solenoid and shift. Just make sure your foot is on the brake lol
