Default 1993 SC300 heat coming from center console

So I have a 93 SC300 and there's seems to be heat coming from the bottom of the center console and also by the driver's side feet close to the center console. I'm gonna assume it's coming from the transmission since it's located underneath the console, but I could be wrong. If it is coming from that, anyone have any ideas what could be wrong? The Ebrake gets hot and the bellow the auto shifter gets warm too. It seems to get heated when I'm accelerating hard or going at a high speed on the interstate.

Your catalytic convertor/exhaust are also near the center console as well. So the combo effect of the transmission and exhaust make the cabin very warm in these vehicles. I'd check and see if you have a head shield above the front cats. You could also apply some dynamat under the carpet to keep the heat out.

Something that may be partially causing the heat is a failing rubber boot that encircles the A/T shifter.
