Default KS-Auto supercharged Toyota Supras

KS-Auto is a small used car dealer / race shop in Japan. What makes them unique is they offer a complete bolt-on supercharger kit for the 2JZ-GE motor that centers around the HKS Rotrex supercharger. Their kits appear to be modular, so different power levels can be achieved on the amount of upgrades you choose to do. I snagged the pics from speedhunters years ago, and I got lucky to find the Option magazine with their cars in it at my local Mitsuwa Marketplace.

And here's their April 2012 article in Option Magazine

I do believe they are still producing these. Just 6 months ago I found one of their kits on yahoo auctions japan that was for the JZS160 Aristo.
The kit wasn't premade though. It was a pic of the complete entry level kit with intercooler, and it said if you bought it they would build it for you.

If it's anything like the unit they released for the 350z the Rotrex blower really will struggle to break 500 hp even with porting and overspinning the blower.

Cool idea... but for an inline 6 like this, a small turbo just makes more sense to me

Yep ^^ As much as supercharger setups (and supercharged-turbo setups) fascinate me it is usually much more efficient to run a turbo on smaller displacement engines.

Even with significant parasitic loss and overall boost limitation I'm sure it's a huge improvement over stock if they've sorted everything out down to custom ECU tuning. On second thought, it might be as simple as wiring up a 2JZGTE ECU and coilpacks for the engine control with such low boost potential.

Cool nonetheless, just like the handful of ITB Supras in the world.
