Exhaust question...

Yes, there are many many exhaust threads, I might have gone through all of them about straight piping, but I want a personalized exhaust system for either my 92 or 95.

Question 1: are the 92-95 Cats interchangeable? My 92 needs new cats and Im thinking I'll straight pipe/customize the exhaust on the 95.

Question 2: How hard/expensive is it to straight pipe an SC? Too loud? To vibrant? I'm looking for a loud(er) setup but it's gotta be on the cheaper side. Can I just cut off the cats and be done? Will it sound better?

If you got a V8, it seems like a waste to let if be muffled, I wanna let it out. :)

Thanks guys appreciate any input.

I'll be a n00b today and bump my thread.

the 1UZ sounds so much different than any traditional V8, I think its because of the firing order?

Straight Pipes havnt ever sounded too good to me on any 1UZ.

I wish someone would make a good set of UEL headers.

Straight pipes from the headers makes the SC sound bubbly and it's gets annoying after awhile...what would be more tastful? I do want it loud but not obnoxious. Resenator delete is probably a good idea, but IDK if I want to delete the cats. What I prefer to anything I've heard is straight piped with stock mufflers.

I just recently bought an electric exhaust cut out from QTP and had a muffler shop weld it in right before the last two resonators and mufflers, its simply a Y pipe with a controllable valve on the end so whether I want it to be all balls out or back to the stock sound, its all controlled by a switch that i wired right next to the trunk switch. All this was done for $200 and thats with labor included.

I deleted the resonators on my previous 400 and it really woke up the sound. Resonator Delete plus aftermarket mufflers must be the way to go.

I'm missing the center res and the last two mufflers, so cats and resonators only. I was happy with it until some ****** in a honda yesterday told me my exhaust sounded sick.
