Default 1JZ-GTE injectors in a 2JZ-GE?

Hey guys,

I drive an IS300, and I'm trying to piece together a S/C kit.
Will the 1JZ-GTE injectors fit on my 2JZ-GE engine?
I know both are high impedance, but the 2JZ-GE is top feed, while the 1JZ-GTE are side feed.
So if I also use the fuel rail from the 1JZ-GTE, will that fit on my 2JZ-GE engine?

I can't seem to find an answer to this question on multiple forums, and it seems like more of you SC guys go for the 1JZ swap, so perhaps you would be more familiar with this subject

Thanks,

I'm assuming that the difference will be in the actual connector on the harness as well.
And you have to find out if the 1jz fuel rail will fit properly on the GE

1jz and 2jz injector spacing on the rails are different, and will not swap. Being that you have a GE, you have easy access to a wide range of top feed injectors. Keep your GE rail and swap with a set of aftermarket saturated injectors. Rule of thumb is 1cc per HP, so figure out what kind of power you want to make, add a little safety room and go from there. (example: want 500hp, get atleast a 550cc injector, 600cc+ would be better)

1jzgte vvti injectors are 11mm topfeed 380cc. I am running them in my gfs car right now, non vvti 1jz. i had to replace the lower manifold to use the vvti topfeed rail and injectors. I did not have to change her injector clips in doing this. So this applies to you because I happen to have an 02 IS300 m/t harness right here with one of her stock 380cc side feed injectors plugged into it right now so I could tell you 100% the vvti 1jz injectors would be a complete drop in solution.

I can't see at standard supercharged cars doin more than 350whp so this could be a good cheap option, but that being said I'd still go with an injector dynamics set. Pretty sure thy have a pnp app for you. Size depending on fuel type.

Thanks alot Vrank!

You are correct. I am most likely looking at 320-330 whp.
Now I just have to find these injectors, which is not that easy, lol.

Just know you'll be cutting it close. With an afpr jacked a tiny bit they will do a safe ish 375whp on a 2.5 liter, so take a bit away from that for having a big block haha. Id do this on my own car, but would push a customer for a minimum of 440s just for fail safe headroom.
