Default Should I get OCV's for both side ?

Codes p0300 & p1349 went on the other day and I thought it was due to having my resonators removed a few days prior, but the codes say misfiring and vvt malfunction. From what I've learned on here, it sounds like I need to replace the OCV on the driver's side. Should I do the other side too, or just worry about the driver's side since it's cylinders 1-3-5-7 that are acting up ? Can I get the part from somewhere other than a stealership ??

Thank you, but the listing seem to be for the six cylinder motors. Is there a part number for the V8 ?

didn't notice the 300 part but maybe just start with cleaning the ones you have with a soft brush.

They're easy to remove. Find the inspection procedures and give the thing a good cleaning, also replace the o-ring. Could save you a few bucks. As for replacements, you should only use a factory part here even if there are other options. Pretty sure dealer is the only option on this one. Check the vendor section. I used to use curt at elmhurst Toyota. Lots of good vendors for factory parts online

Thanks guys. I'll look up the directions on how to do that and see what happens. NAPA doesn't carry it and the nearest toyota dealership can get one for $141 assuming that it would work on my SC400 because it's listed for the six cylinder...

what year is your car? Here's the part numbers for the 1uz vvti for 1999, or all 1uz/3uz w/vvti. DO NOT BUY THE 6 CYL UNIT.

right bank:15330-50010
left bank: 15340-50010

6 cyl ocv:15330-46010

lexus parts now has em for like $93, they only take like 5 minutes done and done, at least on the 6 cyl. Shouldn't be much more hassle on the 1uz. They come with the o-ring and are packaged in a sealed bag lubed and ready to go
