Default Engine will not idle

Driving down the highway today and as soon as I get to the light at the exit the car died. Now it will not start unless my foot is on the gas. As soon as I let off she dies. I've tested the MAF and it seems to be fine. Car is stock and was running just fine up until this point with no engine code. I've been searching for hours and not coming up with anything useful.

I have the same problem, It will randomly decide not to idle, If your case is like mine then it should start idling again in a few days. I am currently trying to figure this out myself. When it does idle, is the RPM constant or does it move around a little?

Well it wouldn't idle at all. Period. I put the MAF back in and started fiddling with the TPS and now it seems to be happy again.

I'm guessing it could be the fuel pump ECU going out. You could try the 12v fuel mod.

Here is a link to it: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...res-faq-5.html

No code, car shuts off, it's probably the fuel pump ECU or the fuel pump itself. MAF would throw a code. Engine spike at cold start is a completely different situation though. What did you "fiddle" with the TPS?

I've dealt with everything above. At first the MAF crapped out so I got another one. Then a few months later the fuel pump ECU died. I did the mod and bought a new fuel pump. Runs perfectly fine...well not perfect but it runs without those issues.

I honestly did search for hours upon end as I mentioned. My car wouldn't start at all. I worked with the TPS and the MAF to no avail which is why I made this post. The IACV is next.

Its possible I was searching in the wrong section.

Do you have a link to your thread?

Thanks! Saw that post as well and will try that if the IACV cleaning doesn't help.

Yeah, I bet it's your Fuel pump ECU thats taking a dump. See if the mod does something.
