95 SC300, 2jzgte swapped (bad block), current setup questions
I have a 95 sc300 with a 2jzgte swap w58 trans. A week ago something happened and trashed the block so now the engine is out and I preparing to put another used 2jzgte engine back in. My questions are on my current turbo setup. I want to do thins the right way so i would like any advice i can get.
The engine im putting in will be stock other than new gaskets, Tbelt, water pump, etc. I do have basic supporting mods, ACT clutch, aeromotive fuel pump, 3.5" downpipe back, front mount intercooler etc
The setup i currently have and would like to reuse:
- Borg Warner single (pt #177272) A/R.91/T-wheel 68mm
- custom manifold
- dual precision wastegates
- 3rd gen mr2 540cc injectors (w/resistor)
- stock fuel rail and regulator
- Apexi safc neo
Im trying not to spend a fortune here but I will spend money on essentials where needed.
My power goal is 400-450hp. I want to be conservative and my concerns are that my w58 trans, piggyback fuel management, and injectors are weak points beyond 450hp (and potentially pushing it at 450hp).
Do these expectations seem realistic and does the 400-450 hp goal seem to be safe?
What changes would you make here that you see to be essential?

Realistically I dont see your injectors beings a problem as long as they are in good condition since you only want around 400
What ECU are u running? jdm or us?? Im assuming jdm
Not being critical or anything but it seems to me that your setup for quite a bit of power but your tranny is the weak point.
-Custom mani
-dual wastegates
-68mm
-3.5 downpipe
Sounds like your just gonna be tickling your setup at 400 hp. I dont have much experience with the w58 but i cant imagine it holding up to much higher unless your really nice to it.

^ accurate. Have any plans to replace the trans and injectors/management in the near future? If not i might suggest trading your turbo for something smaller (6266, .82) It would make your car a lot more fun with what you have right now and still have room to make more if/when you bring the other stuff up to par.
