Cheap LSD options

I found my Torsen diff for $400. I'll I had to do was swap a flange to mount it to my car. I put some poly diff mounts. Redid the seals. Motul 300 gear oil. Drives awesome. Came off a 93 Supra N/A and had 4.08 gears which was a nice change from the 3.92. My top speed in 3rd gear lowered a little but it's off the line where you want the power anyways.
There's a nice thread on the supraforums that explains all the different diffs from supras and aristos.

^^ That's a killer price. General rule of thumb is $900-$1,000 for a full TT Auto Torsen diff but I found mine from a 94 TT for $650. I had to drive seven hours both ways to pick it up though but for the deal and rarity it was worth it.
There isn't any real cheap option but once you do it you will never have to go back again. Better than a Torsen (above 500whp) would be the TRD 2-way. Better than both and superior for road racing is an OS Giken at nearly twice the cost of a TRD.
...but I digress. Torsen is the cheapest LSD and it's still fairly pricey.
