Quick favor from the 98-00 SC400 guys
Anyone with a 98-00 sc400... does your hydraulic fan stay on all the time even when your car is cold? I just got the car running a month ago and recently noticed this. I know the gs400 guys complain of this and found it to be the ac pressure switch acting up. I don't have any freon in the system at the moment so I'm not sure how to check it. I'm pretty sure this is why my car takes a while to warm up.

Yes, it's normal for our hydraulic fans to be on (spinning) at all times. All hydraulic fans do this no matter which car. Electric fans are the ones usually turn on and off depending on engine temperature.
If your car is taking too long to warm up, you might want to check the condition of your thermostat.
