Might be a stupid question to some, but sometimes I've got to wonder "If it's this easy, why wasn't it done already?".

Anyway, as you can see, the intercooler pipe runs above my turbo.. Can I just unbolt my turbo and flip it so now the inlet is underneath the turbo and my intercooler pipe runs below? I really really hate how the pipe runs over top, it looks soooo ugly..

 

yes if it clears the manifold and other things.. you will have to redo the inter-cooler piping though... obviously

 

You've got the first setup I've seen that mounts the compressor outlet at the valve cover.

Yeah, I hate it. Hated when I first saw it, hated it when I picked the car up. Mocked it up though and it'll clear if I turn it to where the outlet is at the 7 o'clock position.. I just need to move this janky MBC and get some more intercooler piping to reroute it.

 

you should be able to loosen the bolts on the back of the compressor housing and rotate it.
