I have a 92 sc300. The stock alternator is 100amp output. I just bought 2 hayden 14inch fans, 1210 cfm (around there), 11.5amp draw each. I also bought a derale 16749 fan switch to control when the fans turn on. I found a place that can rewire the alternator for 180amp output. Is this necessary or should i leave the alternator the way it is? I know the derale wont draw that much amps but the fans are what worries me.
the oem clutch fan pushes 3,000 cfm.. so you are essentially downgrading
if you still decide to go aftermarket, it is a good idea to upgrade "the big 3" as well as the alternator

I agree with Kohinoor, the big 3 will make a big difference. The SC's stock wiring is tiny.
What is the big 3? I'm guessing its 3000cfm. Or 3 as in 1) electric fan, 2) wiring, and 3) alternator. My bets on the 3000cfm. Does anybody know where I can find two 14" 3000cfm fans?
