Default Im thinking about straight piping my car but need opinions

So i have a 93 SC300 nd I'm gonna straight pipe it but just don't know what size.. I've been contemplating on either 48mm or 60mm. I'm na so I'm not going to do 3inch. But I will be accommodating the piping with either a HKS Hi Power or Greddy Ti-C muffler. So yeah i just need your opinions on piping size. Thanks!

straight piping is generally a term used for cars deleting all cats AND muifflers.

If your going hks do a 3 inch exhaust all the way back, even leave a cat in it sounds GREAT.

When i had that setup i would literally get 1 or 2 people a week commenting on how my car sounded great, and not just car guys like random people would comment.

I agree, hks is 3in might as well just do 3 all the way back. I just did a cat back on my 1jz(stock) and its sounds great. Can't wait to do the rest of the piping.

Unless you just like the noise there is very little to be gained doing this to a n/a 2jz.

Though the gains arent huge they are there, My 300 felt quite a bit different from stock with 3 inch piping and only 1 cat (deleted primary too) It was definetely quite a bit smoother to rev out in the higher rpms and sounded great. but did notice it lost some low end torque.

Most people arent doing this mod for huge hp gains but more for sound and looks, And to get away from the undersize ugly stock exhaust

well like I said, mine is a 93 and here in Illinois no emissions is needed from 95 and under. so its going to be straight from headers back. and then there will be a universal muffler. so I'm debating on the size of the pipe coming from headers back
