Best auto trans for sc300?
Hey guys, I am new here and am this >< close to buying a stock automatic vvti sc300.
My overall longterm plan is to boost and tune the 2jzge (MAYBE swap in 2jzgte?), but at first I am going to just do maintenance to get everything back on par and an intake.
Before boosting the 2jz I would like to have an automatic transmission rebuilt to withstand up to 400 ft lbs of torque, knowing I probably wont break 300 hp/ft lbs but wanting a strong a/t.
What are the options for the automatic sc300 staying automatic? JUST rebuild the stock a/t?
Are there any other Toyo/Lex automatic's that can be used like the e-shift is300 a/t (with e-shift steering wheel)?
I am looking to stay with the 2jz and stay with an automatic transmission but want the best a/t that I can use, especially if there is a e-shift / auto-manual type automatic that can be used.
Please help me figure out THE best auto trans to use behind a boosted 2jz in an sc300.
Thanks guys!

Well since were both going the same route ill throw in my 2 cents.
I would go with the performance rebuild kit offered by raybestos w/ the blue plates, couple with the supra stick trans computer + is300 steering wheel which when wired correctly allows you to use the e-shift features with your sc300.
your a340e tranny should be able to take 300-350 as it sits, long as its been taken care of.

Rebuild the stock A/T
Like said above. Raybestos HD rebuild kit. Transgo Shift kit. Trans cooler.
If you want to safely handle 400 pound feet of torque. You probably want an ATF Billet 2nd gear sprag. The forward piston ATF offers is not as needed but I would get is anyways. The 2nd gear sprag is the weakest link of the transmission. With 400 pound feet of torque you might get lucky and never break the stock sprag but it's limit is probably around 340-350 pound feet of torque. So try not to do a burnout while shifting into 2nd, if you're doing a burnout keep it in 1st.
For the Trans controller. There is the Suprastick. There is also a newer product from Spitronics.

I think the spitronics is cheaper at around $280 vs $400 for the suprastick.
I don't have any experience with the spitronics but the suprastick has proven itself with many different builds.
