1996 SC300 loud whining noise from engine bay
started not that long ago , i took the serpentine belt off and it still made the noise, new timing belt and it’s still whining really loud, i thought it was the transmission so i replaced the filter and fluid and the noise is still there

Does the sound directly correlate to engine speed? Could be a small vacuum leak.
You checked the transmission fluid with the engine running, correct?

tranny fluid is good and when i’m driving and i’m on the gas it actually quiets down, fully goes away when im pedal to the floor but as soon as i let off the sound comes back, that’s the only time the noise seems to make a difference is when i’m on the gas and it doesn’t get worse it gets quieter the more im on the gas
