I find amazon and ****************** to have the best prices. Both have excellent customer service. Sometimes ebay, but ebay is always a risk. You just never know when you're gonna run into a hassle. I rarely have probs with ebay but when I do it's quite an ordeal. I did look at rock auto and they were among the more pricy options.
OOps, I guess I can't say auto parts ware house in one word.

So for the same money I will have OEM stuff. I'll spend a little extra for hoses and thermostat. So for an additional $40 - $50 I'll have piece of mind of KNOWING I have high quality parts. Who knows, maybe your stuff will last 10 years and mine will break in 6 months. I just think you can't go wrong with OEM, especially when the cost is competitive with non OEM. I do appreciate your help.
Actually the seals I got with my kit were the exact same as OEM right down to the numbers on them.

I installed this same kit on a friends sc400 almost 100k miles ago and all is well but I am a mechanic by trade so I have access to a shop if there were to be a problem however there never was but it all comes down to personal choice.

I normally don't know these cars, but regarding TB's and parts, I always have to say use rockauto.

OEM is nice and all, but those ebay specials are 'unknown' origin, a lot of knock offs out there... If they can make fake Project Kics lug nuts how hard is it to mimic an OE water pump? *and throw it in a Toyota box

Did you order a rebuilt caliper/AC compressor/whatever? I had the opposite happen on one of my many many orders where they sent me a brand new OE Denso AC compressor when i paid for a 'rebuilt unit'.

Agreed on the ebay part.

Not sure about the RockAuto part - i've saved SOOO much money thanks to them, and this is even after overpriced canadian shipping [or the odd time drive to the border for me], no one has ever come close.

Maybe the SC is not a popular enough to warrant good pricing? I've bought parts for MY 01 es300/IS300/2004 RX330, and its always cheaper by the hundreds in the end...

My bad to the rock auto lovers. They definitely had the best price on the AISIN kit. I had so many sites open at once when I as shopping, I had them confused with another site. Rock Auto rocks!
