You should always do the water pump, it's cheap and just as much work as the timing belt to replace on it's own separately. Skipping the water pump could mean another timing belt's worth of labor if the pump starts leaking.
You also want a tensioner in that kit, don't see it.
Most people use the aisin (OEM quality) kit which usually comes with everything you need like tensioner.

EXACTLY what happened on my car. Original owner was my father in law. He always had the dealer do whatever it needed. At 90k they changed the TB but not the WP (not his decision, he would have no idea what those things are). Then at 122k the WP started leaking and he had to get a whole new TB/WP done at that point, while miles away from home.

Also, if you can swing it and it hasn't been replaced, now's a good time to replace your fan bracket. Another $115 on Amazon (Aisin). I just replaced my timing belt, tensioner, idler, water pump and cam and crank seals. But guess what? Now I get to go back in there and replace my fan bracket, as it's going bad. I REALLY wish I was aware of that wear item before I went in there.

Yes, great point. My fan bracket went out at 174k.

Replacing it is about half way towards a full TB job. Worst part is that it failed at a very inconvenient time and I needed to drive out of town as soon as I could get it fixed, so I had to get an ill-fitting (made it work) part from O'Reilly's rather than a quality one that would take a little longer to arrive.

Aisin makes the fan bracket/clutch as well. I had to replace my cheap aftermarket one that one of the previous owners had installed right after buying my car w/ 253k on the odometer. I knew it was bad because my car sounded like a freight train at idle on a cold start with the clutch being partly frozen and always had the fan spinning at full speed. I got a JY Aisin OE one and a spare from another LS for 20 bucks on half off day so I'm set for awhile lol.

Just replace both, there was an LX470 at the dealer for sale that needed both heads replaced as the timing belt was changed a year ago at 91k miles, but When they got it at 95k miles, the water pump seized causing all sorts of damage

Maybe every other month replace a timing belt part, like the first month the belt, the next the water pump, next tensioner etc. Keep the cost down right?
