NO one builds Sc400 that I know of. I am sure there is a few but probaly not in the states. It is just to expensive and not enough aft mkt or information.
Now the 2jz on the other hand...

A lot of us, myself included, are building our SC400s. I just haven't bothered to dyno yet since I'm not done.

i know these motors are more money to build and not many after market kits/products how come no ones gets creative and just goes custom.. i know im going to and i know its gunna cost money but if you know exactly what needs to b done then it it will save money.. idk i plan on looking at a 700 plus n/a engine and then hopefully 1000plus with either a blower or a custom sts turbo system kinda deal.. also its a very long project..
im just more curious on if theres support with the 1uz

I don't even think the guys that build these everyday with superchargers make more then 500-600hp.
So I think your N/A plan is out of the question logically. Your talking about a 300% increase over stock. I do not think it is possible.
Most N/A street wise can make around 150% which is very impressive. 200% would be like a race N/A indiviual throttle bodies etc. but 300% is rediculous.
These engines are good with boost, so if you want to make impressive power I would go turbo.

Bottom line: As great as the 1UZ is on paper, it never got the aftermarket attention of the JZ
There are MANY great motors in years past. Many that were farrr superior to the 1UZ in every way but they also never got the attention they deserved.
If you really wish to be a trailblazer and dump huge amounts of money into a motor with relatively poor aftermarket support just to be "different" or "cool" or to prove "superiority" then more power to ya.
It's just far easier to be a lemming and just throw in a 2JZ-GTE, 1JZGTE, or NA-T and have a motor that for a few hundred dollars can make 500+HP once swapped.

700hp n/a is not going to happen as this is not an lsx . It's very poor choice for hp esp when a jz series engine has proven to make 2000whp and 1000 on stock unopened engines.
180whp on a v8 is poop esp when n/a hondas make this stock from 2.0 liters.
1uzfe is a freakishly reliabiable engine and has been known to run for 500k+ miles so if you wan't to get your moneys worth just driving then it's the engine of choice.

OP, if you want a lot of ponies 1J/2J is your answer. Yeah 1UZ's can make decent power boosted but they just dont have the power potential like the JZ's have.

cuz no one has pushed them.. everyone jumps to 1/2jz's cuz people have done all sorts of **** and arent scared to take the risk. im not follwing that path. i like being different and i plan on it. they have platforms from other members/vendors and shops that have pushed the **** out of those engines.. i know my good friend has mid-west fastest street legal supra and the things a beast. but i wanna do a huge build on a 1uz... i want power and plan on doing it..
