My auto gearbox in my 1jz soarer is having problems changing from 1st gear to 2nd you can't plant your foot down cos it will rev straight to the limiter and start bouncing off that..

So i have to slowly drive the car up to around 3000rpm and let the revs sit on that for a second or 2 and it will finally change into 2nd and then the car drives fine in all other gears but if i boot it in 2nd it will also hit limiter...it's very annoying everytime i slow down i have to do the same thing and i cant launch the car ever

So i need some help working out the issue could it be a solenoid or does it sound like 2nd gear has shat itself??

Clutches are worn in the trans so time for a rebuild or replacement.
