1jz a340 auto or r154 5-speed?

1jz a340 auto or r154 5-speed?
picked up an auto 95 sc300 and was wondering if i should go the cheaper route and do the auto 1j swap or just spend the money on the r154 swap?
never had an auto boosted car before and im not going for high horsepower numbers here and will run the factory twins with simple boltons until they fail...i see alot of big single high boost auto supras and wonder if they opted for the auto just for faster shifting when at the strip or is the auto just as fun to drive as the 5 speed performance wise.
personally i just like being able to manually shift my car but i will have to spend alot more time and money when doing the 5 speed swap.
so basically im posting this to get some opinions from some of you who have had auto and manual sc's and the pros and cons of each.
any feedback would be great. thanks

If you're going through all the trouble to add power, it means you want to have fun.
Autos can be "fun", but i have had more fun in a fwd 5-speed than my auto'd sc400 with twice the power.
spend the extra on the r154 swap. it's beyond well worth it.

I've owned both an automatic 1jz soarer and my present car a 1jz r154 and i will NEVER go back to a auto 1jz so much fun with my 5 speed. The auto was great to drive when i was tired after work and stuff but with the 5 speed it wakes me and makes me work which i love. But it all comes down to personal choice and i will always pick the r154.
