Help! Smoking like crazy.
Hello guys. My car just recently started smoking out of the crank case. Its shooting grey/whitish smoke from the valve cover vent and from the oil cap if I remove it. I know I can assume its either a clogged pvc valve, bad valve seals/guides or blown rings. However, the car used to leak a little oil, and recently it has started to leak a lot worse. Either the leak and smoking coincidentally happened together, or excessive crank case pressure damaged a seal or two.
Has anyone ever experienced this before? I am going to try for a compression test tomorrow and see what my compression looks like. Does anyone know what numbers I should be looking for? Since the manifold has to come off, I'm thinking the car will have cooled down some before I get the gauge on too. I did smell something burn in the car while driving the other day and since it has run a little more rough than normal, and fuel consumption has gone up a little too.
It's a 95 Sc300, 206k+ miles, auto.
Thanks for any input.

I wish it were that easy. I was driving to work this morning and it was misfiring a little. Now, I'm stuck at work, it has no power, missing in more than one cylinder and smoke, HEAVY smoke out of the breather. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to run a compression check, but I do believe I'm definitely loosing compression into the crankcase. Well, it may be for sale soon, I can't afford to be without a car, I've got 2 jobs and school to keep. Yesterday, I did replace the PVC valve, oil and cleaned up the engine bay to find the source of any oil leaks. (Looks like the crank seal, rear main, behind the dizzy, and the oil fitler.)

Found the problem. Also did a compression check. Cyl 1-90psi 2-160pso 3-160psi 4-160psi 5-175psi 6-165psi.
But there was a collection of water and oil on the plug wires between the valve covers. the #1 cylinder has a bad ring and the smoke is burning oil from blow by landing on the exhaust manifold.
