Default Do you recommend rebuilding your A/C compressor?

I bought my SC 3yrs ago with no A/C which doesn't bother me but,my fiance refuses to ride in it come summer time. Can't really afford a new/re-manufactured one so I need to cut back on expenses due to our wedding in July.

-Do you recommend a used AC compressor and freshly clean/rebuild and replace seals etc?
-Anyone tried this with success?
-Are all 92-00 ac compressor the same interchangeable-1-2JZGE-GTE-Soarer-Aristo etc.?

Thanks

If I were you I would just buck up and buy a remanufactured one from Napa or any auto part store for that matter.. and YES, You def need to replace the seals!!

Trying to rebuild it yourself will be a huge headache if its even possible on these compressors...

Just my 2 cents..

Most such compressors are not made to be rebuilt. They're "throw-away" units. When you send out the core, it's mostly for recycling. Man up and buy the reman one.
