Can this issue be cause of a weak motor mount?

Default Can this issue be cause of a weak motor mount?

Vibrations in my steering wheel when accelerating and vibrations on the acceleration pedal aswell?

i have the low idle issue only on drive, i read that was usually a bad motor mount

also which motor mount would it most likely be?

thanks in advanced, Martine

idk that a low idle would be caused by a bad motor mount. can u get underneath and take a look at the mounts urself they r both made with rubber which tends to fail with heat and time. telling ur which one i think would be a shot in the dark. does the steering wheel vibration happen when u are at highway speeds cruising or only accelerating?

That's probably different based on your symptoms. Mine had one side of motor mounts split in half and my SC never vibrated like so. Check for wheel balance, bushings, etc... suspension related... As far as the low idle, that's not an issue, idle really dips when you're in drive compared to when in park position. Although, if the mounts haven't been changed ever since, it's a good enough reason to change all of them.

Visual inspection is the best way to determine if you have a cracked split or worn out motor mount. The one on the passenger side of the SC300 has a shield over it which makes its failure less apparent from above. Are you driving an SC300 or an SC400? What year?
