Default vvt-i or no?

what are the wiring differences between the 2 2jzge engines, vvt-i and non vvt-i. Ive run across a really good deal on a vvt-i motorset and want to know if vvt-i is worth the hassle.

A lot of people like the OBD1 engines/ecu if they are going to boost. VVT-i GE's have "weaker" rods than the non VVT-i, I guess they are lighter and a weaker. I would take those rods if I was going to stay NA though.
