blazer84,
Awesome man!! I have an LY5 that I'm sloooowly working on. Pinned mains, girdle, o-ring block, twin 76'ers, etc. This ****** is just so cheap!!! For the price of my Wiseco's I could literally buy 6 bare short blocks. These 4.8/5.3 are really diamonds in the rough.
Anyway, did you purchase the engine and trans mounts or did you fab them up? I don't think I necessarily wanna pay $1k for a set.

I have nothing against those motors but it would have been a waste of time and money in my opinion (I am not knocking you sc400 owners - they are great motors).
I am a GM guy at heart, this is my first import. I did not want to deal with 18yr old technology with piggy back controllers, flipping dip switches, no timing controls, etc... I know there are other solutions but spending 2K wasnt an option

I fabbed up all of my mounts. If there was enough interest, I would consider building a jig to kick out some budget priced mounts. Trans mounts would be a little more difficult due to all of the different combinations available. Unless they are CNC'd billet aluminum, there is no reason for mounts to cost that much. They are just too simple to make.

I'd be interested in your mounts or even if you can provide the drawings with all the correct measurements (which is really what I'm after), I'd be more than happy to pay you for them. If it's something you want to keep proprietary I totally understand that as well.
I don't want to change the direction of your thread, so PM me if you want to discuss.

Also, one other question blazer and I swear I'll stop flooding your thread. But, I'm planning on running a TR6060 and heard/read that we can use the f-body drive shaft with a differential mounting adapter. Is there any validity to this?
Thanks

yeah, I don't see why not. The length may need to be modified but the slip yoke should work. I think the f-body ujoint is a 1310 or saginaw - but you can run a conversion joint for the adapter - it needs to be 1350. http://store.driftmotion.com/static/...termk4gssc.php
