Hello guys, I'm new here I'm thinking about getting a sc300. My goals for the car would be #1 reliability, 2 speed, 3 beauty. This car would be drag raced mainly, shown, daily driver, and auto crossed 3-4 times a year. Im not sure on the differences in the motors. I've been told that the sc300 engine is pretty much the same as the supra engine, just not turbo. Is this true? If not what are the differences? How much boost can the stock blocks take? How much power can the transmission/ clutch take? And also the axles on drag slicks? I ask cause these are all issues that I ran in to with my charger. When looking for a sc300 what are some things that I should look for? I'm not to concerned about miles, because I'll be rebuilding the motor, or swapping it. I'm sure I'll have more questions but that all for now. Thanks for your help

Welcome. Im new to these cars too, but i know the motor is shared with the n/a mk4 supras. From what ive read the motor trans is good for about 450whp. You should read up about it on supra forums or an NA-T forum. Sorry i cant be more help, but i barely got mine running and havent looked into boost yet
